Yes. This is actually just the GUI that allows for simple control of the command line server in the background. It will be available for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux, too.
Right now there are no protocol specifications for Wired 2.0. It doesn't really bring any new features either. It's just incompatible with Wired 1.0, that's all. :/
really nice gui and i saw in the to-do list you're planning to include the trackers app in the server gui which would make it simpler.
is the server gonna be a preference pane for os x like the original wire? i hope it's a standalone app.
one more thing, and maybe a suggestion, the only way to share folders in different places is to make a folder, get a bunch of alias in it and specifiy it in the "files" field. what do you think of a box with (+) and (-) to add/remove folders in the "files" section?
